Steelers report card: A-plus work in the trenches as the Steelers physically dominate the Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers delivered a commanding performance, thoroughly outplaying the Cleveland Browns in a dominant 27-6 victory. From the opening whistle, the Steelers’ offensive and defensive lines controlled the line of scrimmage, earning an A-plus grade for their stellar work in the trenches. This physical superiority allowed Pittsburgh to dictate the pace of the game on both sides of the ball.

Offensively, the combination of Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle proved to be an unstoppable force, wearing down the Cleveland defense with relentless running and timely execution. Defensively, the Steelers’ fierce pass rush overwhelmed the Browns’ offensive line, sacking quarterback Deshaun Watson eight times and completely shutting down any potential comeback momentum. This loss extends the Browns’ dismal regular-season losing streak in Pittsburgh to 23 years, highlighting a long-standing psychological and competitive barrier.

Local analysts and game recaps praised the Steelers’ tactical discipline and physical toughness, noting that the team once again asserted its dominance over its regional rival. The convincing win not only boosts Pittsburgh’s standing in the league but also reaffirms their traditional strength of winning the physical battles when it matters most.
