Nanjing Launches Inaugural Talent Week and 18th Overseas Talent Exchange and Convention

The inaugural 2026 Nanjing Talent Week alongside the 18th Nanjing Overseas Talent Exchange and Convention has officially commenced, drawing significant attention from domestic and international participants. This year’s convention achieved a record-breaking scale, establishing itself as a major hub for professional engagement. Nearly 2,000 different organizations participated in the event, collectively providing approximately 30,000 employment positions for attendees.

The gathering served as a magnet for young talent from both home and abroad, who enthusiastically headed toward Nanjing to explore career prospects. Among the various attractions drawing visitors were cultural and creative items from Changjiang Road, which proved to be notably popular. Another major highlight on the exhibition floor was an advanced creation known as the Xiaozhu robot, which actively demonstrated its capabilities by writing calligraphy and painting on site.

Beyond the main convention activities, the broader initiative encompassed multiple specialized events designed to foster mutual growth between local industries and incoming professionals. An overseas talent entrepreneurship contest was held to highlight the synergistic relationship and deep connection between the region’s industrial ecosystem and visiting professionals. In a related gathering, a group of 50 overseas doctors assembled specifically at the Software Valley in Nanjing to gain an immersive, firsthand experience of the artificial intelligence entrepreneurial environment.

These coordinated gatherings highlight the region’s ongoing efforts to attract global minds and integrate them into local innovation networks. By coupling large-scale employment opportunities with specialized startup competitions and immersive technological showcases, the event underscores a robust commitment to fostering talent development.
