The event drew significant attention from industry leaders, policymakers, and international representatives, highlighting the rapid growth and high-quality development of China’s media sector.
One of the notable highlights of the conference was the recognition of Shandong Radio and Television, which saw several of its productions receive key recommendations. These works were praised for their artistic quality and cultural significance, underscoring the region’s contribution to the national media landscape. The conference also featured a notable address by Melissa Fleming, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the role of media in fostering global understanding.
Industry data presented at the event revealed that China’s radio, television, and audiovisual market has reached a massive scale, characterized by what officials termed as a ‘double 1 billion’ market structure, referring to the vast reach and user engagement across various platforms. This growth is supported by technological advancements and a shift toward more diverse content delivery methods.
